Yard Dramas partners with individuals, communities, and businesses to develop creative experiences designed in collaboration with our clients and participants to bridge connections, increase learning, and grow new ideas, pathways, and solutions to challenges. Our hallmark program is a customized, outdoor, interactive, and community-minded storytelling experience. There are countless benefits and opportunities to telling stories and creating art in nature with community. Yard Dramas positively impacts participants' economic, health, environmental, educational, and social lives and the surrounding communities. Built on community garden principles, Yard Dramas catalyzes collaborative art projects, inspires a renewed interest in preserving and revitalizing green spaces, and nurtures stewards of the natural environment of the Anacostia Watershed. But “yard” has another meaning (unit of measure), and Yard Dramas inspires self-reflection and care and fosters individual and collective responsibility. Services include: *indoor, outdoor, and virtual theater learning and making experiences for all ages, including intergenerational participants *interactive storytelling performances *arts-education and integration programs *complete creative process from inspiration to development with a wide range of presentation and sharing opportunities *program reflection and assessment *do-it-yourself tools & resources *professional development workshops for leaders, educators, and caretakers
