B. Sharise Moore is an author, former educator, and Poetry Editor for FIYAH Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction.
Her previously published works include Dr. Marvellus Djinn’s Odd Scholars (MVMedia, 2021), Conjuring Worlds: An Afrofuturist Textbook for Middle and High School Students (editor/curator 2022), and A City Dream (HarperCollins, 2025).
Moore’s forthcoming books include Golden: a Story of Yaa Asantewaa (HarperCollins, 2026), Curious Creatures of African Folklore (Little Brown Books for Young Readers, 2027), and The Marvelous Magic of Ellen Armstrong (Kokila/Penguin Random House, 2027).
She lives in Baltimore, MD with her husband and their two children.
