After-School Theatre Program

After-School programs, through Spotlighters Theatre, help to provide a wide range of theatre education, and our low staff to student ratio provides for personalized training and development.

Classes are for students in Grades K-12, and provide opportunities in introductory acting, musical theatre, and opportunities for students with special needs. Through our programs, students develop acting skills and techniques, which allow them to demonstrate communication, and team building skills. Instruction in stage craft is also available to support theatre education with costuming, set design/build, and lighting/sound design.

Classes are for a minimum of 10 weeks and are taught by regional and local professionals teaching artists. Classes of 10 to 21 students will have a lead instructor and teaching assistant. Classes over 21 students will require an additional teaching assistant, and an increased fee of $35/hr of instruction.

All classes end in a performance or showcase.

Event Length: Classes will be a minimum of 10 weeks, up to a full year (2semester) program. Each will be a minimum of one hour, or as established by School. This will be determined by School and reflected in actual Invoice to School

Core Curricula: Social Studies, English/Language Arts

Art Forms: Visual Art and Design, Theater, Storytelling, Puppetry, Music, Dance and Movement, Creative Writing

Program/Event Format: In School Residency, In School Workshop, After School/Weekend

Cost: $95 per class / 1 hr min instruction (10-22 students with 2 instructors). For more than 22 students an additional teaching assistant will be provided for an additional fee of $35/hr.
