Art, Civics, and A City Dream

The A City Dream residency consists of 8, 60 minute lessons that encourage students to become change makers in their communities.
During the residency, students will:
1. Define community.
2. Identify their city councilperson.
3. Write and email letters to their city councilperson specifying concerns about their neighborhoods.
4. Explore conflict resolution through puppet theater.
5. Define blight and create collaborative murals.
6. Build a prototype of a small city using Lego.
