Everyday Clay: Handcrafted Culture

Students will explore the many ways that ceramics plays a role in our daily lives. From kitchens to bathrooms, students will learn about the importance of clay in our homes. This class will focus on hand-building functional objects that students can use every day. Students will learn techniques to personalize their work, embracing their individuality and creating one-of-a-kind works of art. Class includes all materials and firings.

Event Length:
The class meets 3 times over a span of 3 weeks. The first 2 classes are 2 hours long. the last class is only 1 hour- that is when the finished ceramics are delivered and students will share their results with each other.

Cost:
$1425$1425 per 2.5 meetings workshop over 3 weeks with the same 25 students ( allows time for drying, glazing, and firing of work). 2nd workshop on the same day would be $1225.
