Programs and Initiatives Overview

Schools Program: Through partnerships with individual Baltimore City schools, Arts Every Day builds creative and connected learning communities by providing teacher professional development in arts integration, funding for arts and cultural programs, and a framework to build connections and collaborations across the curriculum. Programs through the partnership are provided at no cost to the school.

Professional Learning for Teachers: Arts Every Day supports an active professional learning community of classroom teachers, arts educators, and special educators district-wide by offering over 50 hours of professional development annually.

Connecting City Schools to City Arts and Culture: Arts Every Day partners with local arts institutions, organizations, and artists with the goal of connecting them to Baltimore City Public Schools through events, a web-based directory of art and cultural programs and teaching artists, and matching of schools to free and reduced price arts opportunities.

Elevating and Celebrating Creative Teaching and Learning: Each year, Arts Every Day collaborates with schools, teachers, and local artists and organizations to exhibit and present student art-making. Events include an annual 10×10 Exhibit inspired by a local artist or exhibit, an arts integration showcase hosted by the Walters Art Museum, and support of the annual district-wide FYI: For Your Inspiration Exhibit hosted by the Baltimore Museum of Art.

Baltimore Arts Education Initiative: In 2017, Arts Every Day partnered with the Baltimore City Public School District to obtain a National Endowment for the Arts Collective Impact grant to create a measurable Fine Arts Strategic Plan.
