Building BIG!

Baltimore Clayworks

Students will stretch their capacity (and their muscles) in this hand-building course for teenage participants. Classes will lead young artists through conceiving, planning, and then building a large sculpture or vessel completely of their own design. Students will learn and practice clay care, developing a deeper understanding of the materials and pride in creating work on a giant scale. Classes can be customized to fit with current class subjects and time frames. We prefer to work with about 12 students at a time (we will bring an assistant or two for larger classes). Classes meet once a week for 1.5 hours at each meeting. Again, Clayworks can customize the class to fit educational goals and scheduling.
