Art & Animals

Ferrets and Friends, LLC

Combining our love for animals and art, we provide this program to help students learn different art concepts by pairing each concept with an animal model (for example a chameleon with color and a hedgehog with texture). Each program features one educator, one to three animals (depending on species and theme), and art supplies for the lesson. Each lesson includes an introduction, warm-up exercise, meeting the animal, drawing the animals, and time for sharing and reflection. Travel fees may apply for locations that are greater than 25 miles from Baltimore, MD. If you book our multi-day program, discounts may apply. Lessons can be provided for a full week or you can ask us to return for the same day of the week and time over multiple weeks. Please see below for an example of our multi-day curriculum. Day One: Shape (Hissing Cockroach, Veiled Chameleon, or Frog) Day Two: Texture (Chinchilla, Hedgehog, or Tegu Lizard) Day Three: Pattern (Ball Python, Milk Snake, or Tiger Salamander) Day Four: Color (Panther Chameleon, Rainbow Boa, or Parrots) Day Five: Summary (Ferrets or any previous favorites)
