Raediant Movement was Founded in 2011 by Erica Rae Smith and joined by Dr. Shatiea Blount as Administrative Director and Dancer in 2017, Raediant Movement is dedicated to showcasing the historical and social relevance of Black dance forms. Our mission is to amplify the similarities and differences that connect Black dance across the Diaspora. We envision a community where Black dancers and audiences appreciate the connections between dance forms across ethnic, cultural, and social experiences. Through performances, workshops, and community programming, Raediant Movement inspires understanding and celebrates the richness of Black dance traditions.
