Tuning Into Reading with Radio Drama and Podcasting

This arts integrated residency introduces students to the exciting characters and programs of the Golden Age of Radio (1940-1950) as well as preparing them to become actors as they rehearse and record a radio drama.
In the process the students are practicing the foundational reading skills of reading with expression, fluency, purpose and understanding while they authentically revisit a text.
The recordings can be turned into podcasts for the school community to hear.
