Physics & Chemistry of Light and Color (Elementary & Middle)

This 4-5 day residency immerses the students in activities that give them a visceral understanding of light waves, and electrons. Students will answer the questions:
What is light?
What are the different kinds of light?
What is color?
What is the difference between color and pigment?
They will learn about what electrons are, how they move, how their movements affect magnetism and how their movements affect what colors a pigment absorbs. Mulitple art activities will help them make the connection between the physics and chemistry and art.
