In this arts-integrated storytelling residency, students write a simple personal story or their own version of a folk tale. Students learn the similarities and differences between effective oral storytelling and effective creative writing. Peer and teacher evaluation and criticism help students identify many of their strengths and correct their weaknesses as communicators, listeners, and readers.
