In-person PD – Building Musical Instruments from Recycled and Reused Materials
$1,000.00

In this 3 or 6 hour workshop, K-8 teachers learn how create musical instruments from recycled and reused materials, and then use those instruments to make connections to science and literacy. First, participants build the instruments _ such as maracas and drums from tin cans, or a guitar from a tube and fishing line _ while learning the science behind how they work. Next, the sounds of the instruments become the inspiration for writing musical stories to be performed on the instruments. No musical background required! https://youtu.be/Z4XT0emNiJs
