Hispanic Culture: Contributions To the World
$550.00

A lesson on Hispanic Culture and Latin dancing makes a very natural accompaniment to a Social Studies unit. The lesson could cover several popular Latin dances (e.g. Bachata, Merengue, Salsa and Cha Cha).  The history, underlying rhythm, and cultural relevance of each dance could be discussed.
These dances originated mostly in Latin America. Hence this program is suitable for Social Studies units on Latin America, and for “Hispanic Heritage Month”  and multi-cultural celebrations.

Hand outs on Latin culture, dance histories and rhythms, and a verbal description of basic dance steps can be provided upon request.

Danceintime dance company members are available to run this program honoring Latin culture by teaching dance. Note that the cost and length of this program are variable, depending upon what is desired.  This can be run at a school, online, or at a Danceintime venue as a field trip.  For more information on Dr. Bernstein’s dance company and her background, visit:  DanceInTime.com.
