Futuremakers- Cascading Robots Residency
$2,500.00

In this student-centered STEAM residency, a grade level of students become Drawbot Coaches. They are responsible for solving a design challenge – creating a machine that is designed and built to draw – and then coaching upper or lower grade levels through the same design challenge. Over three days they develop coaching strategies and materials of instruction they will need when they visit another classroom to coach an older or younger student on how to make a Drawbot.

This residency is built on an SEL-rich cascading instructional model – perfect for schools who want to include near-peer instruction, or learn the amazing social and emotional benefits of peers coaching engineering challenges for students in grade levels above or below theirs. It impacts two or more grade levels for the core cost of a single grade-level residency, plus materials.
