The mystical and fantastical characteristics of Renaissance painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s works serve as the inspiration for this visual arts residency. Students create a self-portrait expressing their identity through the use of symbolism and mixed media techniques. This symbolic idea is represented by focusing on characteristic traits of who the student is now and who they will become in the future.
