Watercolor lesson and Botanical Art in the Garden or Classroom.

Bring your students on a guided Nature hike and tours of the historic Cylburn mansion and the new Nature Education Center.  Learn about pollination. Identify parts of a flower.

Learn about the history of botanical art.

Learn about science illustration careers and education pathways.

Practice watercolor techniques, including wash, graded wash, and drybrush. Draw and paint flowers, seed pods, or leaves from life, outside in the gardens or inside (in inclement weather) in the Greenhouse Classroom. All materials provided.

Stay for a picnic in the outdoor gardens, if desired.

Can also be booked as a teacher training on science illustration or botanical art techniques and art integration into science classes.
