Making Clay from Scratch! In this visual arts residency, students will understand what a clay body is, learn the definitions of ceramic raw materials, practice the use of a gram scale for production of a clay body, practice safety during labs, and use the created clay in the production of a personal art tile. Slide shows of cultural connections and clay around the globe are included.
