Social Emotional Learning in the Arts

Participants will engage in hands-on creative activities that illuminate the intersection between artistic expression and emotional intelligence. We will examine strategies for embedding SEL into arts-based instruction, from theatre and music to visual and literary arts, creating opportunities for students to build resilience, practice collaboration, and explore their identities in meaningful ways.

Educators, teaching artists, and youth professionals will leave with practical frameworks, adaptable lesson ideas, and reflective tools to strengthen both artistic practice and social-emotional development.
