The Baltimore Story-oles creative writing program takes your elementary students through the entire creative writing process from page to stage, culminating in a student-centered performance of their own original story! After working collaboratively with their peers, brainstorming for literary elements like character and setting, and writing a narrative aligned to MSDE Literacy/Writing standards, students will improvise a guided performance of their own work complete with costumes and props. Your class will leave with an understanding of the writing process, an appreciation for their creativity, and a motivation to read and write more! All materials included. This program can adapt from a single writing workshop to a 6-week residency focusing on a different genre each week.
