Tim Young – How a Book is Made
$714.29

Author/Illustrator Timothy Young shows how children’s books are made. His presentation answers many of the questions young readers have such as: “How do you get your ideas?” “How do you write a book?” “How do you illustrate a book?” “How does a book get published?” He talks about his journey from being just like them, a kid who liked reading books and liked to draw, a kid who struggled with writing and attention issues, to being an author/illustrator with 15 published books. He discusses with them how they can create their own works and how one of the hardest things for a person to do is to show their own writing or art to someone else. Through Q&A he talks about how to get over the fear of failure and how mistakes lead to learning and discovery. He shows how even once you get to be a professional and work with editors and publishers, you still worry about your creations.
