WIRE ART JEWELRY-MAKING WORKSHOP

Guest Talent: Evette Monique Street of Evette Monique Couture Sehar Peerzada | Sustainable Fashion Designer/Upcycler and Wire Artist.

Workshop Host | Site Coordinator: Caprece Jackson, Bonneau Caprece Sustainable Fashion Workshop Series, est. 2018

Participants design and construct their own Wearable Art by creating bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings made of wire!  A great gift idea, activates creativity, and inspires the development of personal style.

Bonneau Caprece Facilitators demonstrate how to work with wire, and interact individually with participants throughout the creative process. Pre-cut lengths of wire in several colors will be provided, and several finished pieces will be displayed along with table-top images of finished examples being worn.

Embellishments: colorful beads and stones, pearls, rhinestones, flowers and feathers.

Supplies: Wire, Clippers, Scissors, and Tweezers. Small drawstring bags are available to dry and store participants’ finished brooches.

Workshop Goals: to activate participants’ creativity and capacity to create with their hands, introduce them to wire art jewelry-making, and experience community in a “screen-free” environment.
