Program / Event Details

Polish Ya Peace workshops will be interactive literacy and social-emotional learning
experiences for children and their families. Through poetry, reading, group discussion, guided
writing prompts, and creative sharing, participants will strengthen their reading
comprehension, writing, communication, and emotional-expression skills. Each family will
create an original piece of writing and practice listening, and reflecting.
By the end of the program, families will be able to express emotions, use at least one new
creative-writing skill, and complete a family writing activity together. Families will also receive
the Polish Ya Peace book that will have more prompts and practical strategies they can use at
home to continue reading, writing, discussing feelings, and sharing personal stories. These
activities will help families build stronger communication habits while making literacy a
meaningful part of their time together.

This workshop will be curated and available fully in English and there will be a partially
Spanish translated version as well. Meaning that schools who have students that are learning
to speak English as a second language and Spanish as a first language can enjoy a copy of
the workbook in Spanish while the class will be taught in English and Spanish. Please contact
