Program / Event Details

In this residency, an Everyman Teaching Artist will work closely with the partnering classroom teacher to tailor an experience specific to the class’s needs. Students will engage in creative play activities that not only build on a dramatic skillset, but help to develop a collaborative community. Students will articulate creative choices by engaging in dramatic activities and various theatre styles. Students will also expand their theatre vocabulary and etiquette. Teachers are encouraged to choose a specific topic or theme relevant to the curriculum for the Teaching Artist to expand on and explore through arts-integrated dramatic strategies. The residency has the potential to deepen the core subject learning experience through an active, exploratory, collaborative environment.
