$2,500.00

Storytelling and drama provide the perfect bridge between rote learning of historical facts and a gaining a deeper comprehension and empathy for events and people. In this storytelling residency, classes are divided into small group “families” that personify the diverse perspectives that exist during a significant historical conflict.  Students develop a narrated group story based on their exploration of the differing points of view through creative drama, storytelling, and character journaling.  At the end of the residency, students perform a selection of their historical fiction for their peers in another classroom.
