Mia Halton – Why Just Have One?
Used by artists since the 1600s, monotype printmaking is made by drawing or painting onto a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The material is transferred from there onto the paper. Students work with themes as they explore this multi-faceted, surprise-filled medium. In relief printing, parts of the plate are carved away, leaving the exposed areas to be printed.

Cost:
Typically, residencies range from $2,500 to $3,500, but we can use your available budget and ‘work backwards’ to create a cost-effective residency for your school. We may be able to assist you in securing grant and funding opportunities.
Discount for Title 1 Stipend schools:
Access for All Grant Program covers up to 80% of the total cost including travel. Maryland State Arts Council Artist In Residence Grant can cover up to 40% of all residency programs.
