Educators of all kinds are invited to this private event to collect visionary resources for the classroom and to learn about the educational programming available at the AMERICAN VISIONARY ART MUSEUM! Stop by to pick up our classroom-ready, interdisciplinary education packet, try your hand at a visionary activity, and receive a special guided tour through our new exhibition Yummm! This History, Fantasy and Future of Food, “a new visual feast of 34 visionary artists joining forces with food scientists, farmers, nutritionists, environmental activists, psychologists, poets and humorists to publicly explore humankind’s complex, multi-layered relationship with food.”
Check-in with us in the classroom on the 2nd floor of AVAM’S JIM ROUSE VISIONARY CENTER. Guided tours will leave from the classroom.
★ 4:00PM – 7:00PM: Classroom open for Q&A, light refreshments, and resource collection
★ 4:00PM // 5:00PM // 6:00PM: Guided exhibition tours (reserve time slot in advance)
