Amanda Pellerin: Brilliant Birds! Sculpting and Painting like an Ornithologist

Students use field guides and various texts to research about the diversity of birds. Each student selects and creates a sculpture based on research and pictures. Amanda leads the group through the process of creating an armature, and using coil, slab, and pinch techniques to bring their brilliant bird to realization.
