Designed to encourage interest in books and reading, Tales as Tall as the Sky is the story of three children in their tree house at the end of summer and complaining that they have nothing exciting to do. When one produces a book of American tall tales, they begin to explore the wild and adventurous stories of Pecos Bill, John Henry and Hurricane Hallie, bringing to vibrant life this exciting literary genre.
