My Fantastic Brain! is a five-day embedded professional development (PD) residency designed to empower teachers to use the arts in classrooms through live lessons about the amazing functions of the human brain! Students will learn to love, appreciate, and care for their brains through music elements and the book My Fantastic Elastic Brain by JoAnn Deak, all while the teacher is learning what it looks like when you integrate the arts in a literacy lesson! By the end, students will be able to perform a song about their brain, and teachers will be equipped to continually utilize arts-based strategies in their classrooms!

$2500.00 Typically, residencies range from $2,500 to $3,500, but we can use your available budget and ‘work backwards’ to create a cost-effective residency for your school
Discount for Title 1 Stipend schools:
Access for All Grant Program covers up to 80% of the total cost including travel. Maryland State Arts Council Visiting Performers Grant can cover up to 1/3 of the cost for all assembly programs.
