Katherine Dilworth – The Felted Mural Residency

In this visual arts residency, students working with both wet and needle-felting techniques develop individual elements of a larger, multi-paneled scene that can be hung in the school after completion. Students learn how take loose wool and use friction and water, as well as specially designed needles, to link the fibers, develop imagery, and add details.

Cost:
Typically, residencies range from $2,500 and up, but we can use your available budget and ‘work backwards’ to create a cost-effective residency for your school. We may be able to assist you in securing grant and funding opportunities.
Discount for Title 1 Stipend schools:
Access for All Grant Program covers up to 80% of the total cost including travel. Maryland State Arts Council Visiting Performers Grant can cover up to 1/3 of the cost for all assembly programs.
