Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble – Roots and Rhythm

Residency workshops include learning percussive dance, singing, ‘hamboning,’ and improvisational exercises. Footworks makes participation accessible and fun with an approach that brings students together in a positive, constructive, and interactive way, building community and connecting the participants to each other and to their culture in this dance residency.

Cost:
Typically, residencies range from $2,500 to $3,500, but we can use your available budget and ‘work backwards’ to create a cost-effective residency for your school. We may be able to assist you in securing grant and funding opportunities.
Discount for Title 1 Stipend schools:
Access for All Grant Program covers up to 80% of the total cost including travel. Maryland State Arts Council Artist In Residence Grant can cover up to 40% of all residency programs.
