The Dance Lab: Explore, Learn, Perform

The Treasure Box brings the excitement of dance directly into the classroom with a customizable workshop designed to meet the interests of your students. Teachers can select from a variety of dance genres—including Hip Hop, Tap, African Dance, and Broadway Dance—for a hands-on, engaging experience. Students will learn the steps, explore the history and cultural significance of the chosen style, and perform choreography that builds confidence, teamwork, and self-expression. This interactive workshop encourages creativity, movement, and a deeper appreciation for the art of dance.

What Students Will Experience:

• Pick Your Style: Teachers select the dance genre—Hip Hop, Tap, African Dance, or Broadway Dance.

• Learn & Perform: Students practice choreography and showcase their new moves.

• Discover Dance History: Explore the origins, culture, and significance of the chosen style.

• Boost Creativity & Confidence: Build self-expression, teamwork, and stage presence in a fun, supportive environment.

• Engage Mind & Body: Combine learning with physical activity for an interactive, hands-on classroom experience.

This workshop can be offered as a stand-alone session or expanded into a multi-session residency for deeper exploration and skill-building.

Designed for classroom sessions of 30-45 minutes and adaptable for all grade levels.
