Founded in October 2023 by freestyle dancer, urban arts administrator, and behavioral health program designer Kaye V. Love, GroovHero is rooted in emerging evidence that freestyle dance can be more effective than traditional medications and therapies for managing anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Our unique approach combines professional urban freestyle dance educators with therapeutic movement specialists, clinicians, and peer support providers to deliver culturally responsive, dance-based tools for emotional self-regulation, confidence building, and leadership development.
