Program Description
Sam Hall and Zvika Sharabi take you on a journey through the music of Appalachia. Learn about the culturally diverse roots and influences that led to the music known today as Mountain Music, Old-Time Music, and Bluegrass.
Fees are for daytime school programs in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia only.
Evening, weekend, workshop, and non-school fees differ – please contact us.

About Fiddle & Friends
Zvika Sharabi and Sam Hall take you on a journey through the music of Appalachia. Zvika Sharabi, an Israeli musician, performs on guitar and oud and conducts drum circles. Equally at home with a fiddle or violin, Sam Hall is a multi-faceted musician and educator with expertise in bluegrass, Irish, and old-time fiddling.
Zvika Sharabi is an Israeli musician and music educator, with years of experience performing on the biggest stages across Israel, songs featured on national radio, and collaborations with known artists such as Ziggy Marley, Ramon Tasat, and other well-known Israeli artists. He has conducted youth rock bands and taught music in various music schools in Israel and the US.
Zvika currently teaches music master classes at Georgetown University and leads services there, at Adas Israel Congregation, and at different Jewish congregation across the DC Metro area. He performs on guitar and oud, conducts drum circles, and teaches guitar and oud at his Dizzy Fingers Music Studio.
Sam Hall is a multi-faceted musician and educator, equally at home with a fiddle or violin in hand. Hailing from an Iowan farm, his passion for music extends across genres, having performed with country bands, jam bands, Irish groups, bluegrass outfits, jazz combos, string quartets, and even traditional Jewish music ensembles. His talent is undeniable, as evidenced by his two Iowa State Fair Grand Champion Fiddler titles. Sam’s dedication to his craft extends beyond performance. He is a renowned teacher, offering master classes in bluegrass, Irish, and old-time fiddling, sharing his expertise and igniting a love for music in his students.
